All very quiet

All very quiet over here but I do have a few posts planned for the weekend, including a (potential) Primark haul - depending on how good their offerings are =]

Beauty Beehive - Ania Nails for You

I first discovered the Beauty Beehive salon a few year ago when it was under the name Simply Bliss. I found it almost by accident, using the www.inaa.co.uk website to try to book my first ever acrylic nails appointment.

As an aside, I wouldn't bother using www.inaa.co.uk, it's fairly useless when they don't tell the salon that you've booked - but I would urge you all to rush to Ania at Beauty Beehive for your nails. The salon is based on St Georges Road in Glasgow (above Q Club). There is parking outside which is parking metered at the normal times but 50p gets you around 2 hours, so it's more than reasonable =]

Ania has a business Facebook page here and a page for the salon here. The salon has been under Ania's management for a few months now and personally, I love it! It's a total one stop shop - not only can you go to Ania for your nails but there's also a hair stylist who caters for male & female (both my husband & I go to him), Raf and a fabulous beautician in Lisa who I entrusted with my eyebrows & lashes for my wedding - which as any married woman will know, is a pretty big deal! They also offer Tarot readings but these have to be booked in advance.

.One look at Ania's Facebook page should have you sold on what an incredible artist she is but she does the "simple" stuff better than anyone I've ever gone to. She uses natural tips and draws her own "smile line" (get me with my technical terms!) to give the most natural looking french tips. She offers acrylic french and acrylic glitter as well as natural nail manicures but as you can see from her Facebook - nail art is where she shines. It's not something that I have indulged in myself as I'm very indecisive of what I would want and I love my french tips.

As someone who bit their nails when I was younger, I now couldn't be without my acrylics and I wouldn't go to anyone but Ania.

Have any of you used their services or are you looking for a new salon and think you might have found it here?

If I Should Fall Behind...

Wait for me.

Hello Blogger, let me introduce myself - not as a man of wealth and taste - but as a nervous blogger sticking her toe back in the water for a second time and hoping for more success.

As in my about me, I flirted briefly with blogging earlier in the year as xunderscoreclaree which, you'll now see if you click on the link, has been all but abandoned. Rather than pick up where I left off I decided to start anew. Firstly because I'm new, or my name is at least. In July this year I brushed off my name of 22 years and 7 months and became a Mrs - something which I was more than excited to do, not just for the name obviously! More importantly, I don't think my blog accurately represented me. It represented what I wanted to be and who I wanted to fit in with - namely the beauty blogging community.

The community is well established and understandably has its hierarchy -what doesn't? - but they got there because they deserve to be there. They got their 1000's of followers through merit, not begging on other people's blogs for followers or for doing bloghops with a million rules of who you have to follow.

I'm 23 years old. I work, I go to college and I'm addicted to twitter. On top of this I have a house, car and bills to worry about as well as maintaining a marriage - I can't commit 24 hours a day to makeup. I can't spend £100's in MAC without blinking (Oh I wish I could) but that's not real life for me. My makeup collection is small, I replace things when they run out. It terrifies me when I see bloggers with more makeup in their blogsale than I own - but that's how it is at the moment, and that's what this blog will reflect.

I hope you enjoy it anyway.

Oh, and for the record, If I Should Fall Behind was our first dance at our wedding. And I will fall behind, I won't blog everyday and I probably won't be "on top" of fashion but if I do - wait for me.
